Welcome To DS Institute

The DS Institute was founded in 2004 to support collabration among surgeons who offer the Duodenal Switch Procedure. Its focus includes advancing knowledge among the members of the surgical community, promoting standards, collecting data and facilitating patient access. It is headquartered in San Francisco and offers its members educational materials directed to physicians and patients, and support for research on etiology and surgical treatment of morbid obesity.

Here is where you can find answers to your questions about morbid obesity and how it can be treated before and after the Duodenal Switch Procedure. Take your time here and feel free to ask any questions. Any bariatric surgery is a life-changing decision. The more you know, the better prepared you'll be to make the medical choices that are right for you.
